Here at SCR, we’re fortunate to have worked with some truly talented photographers over the years, and at the top of that list are Jason Smith and Marshall Forse Walker, both of whom are wonderful guys and both of whom have shot a whole lot of pictures for us…

Yes, friends, neighbors, Houstonianites, it’s just about time again for the “other” half of the bi-annual music festival extravaganza that’s known either as the Yes, Indeed! Music Festival or Madness on Main Street, both put on by super-organized people Jason Smith and Phil “Bassman Pep” Peterson…

Alright, friends and countrymen and everybody else, we’re back once again with another batch of writeups (possibly the last one before the actual thing starts) of all the awesome folks playing this year’s Madness on Main Street Music Festival tomorrow, Saturday, May 2nd. There will be 30 or so excellent bands…

Yes, yes, yes. It’s May, just starting to edge into the warmer months here in H-town, and that means it’s time once again for the ever-awesome Madness on Main Street Music Fest. Virtual high-five to both organizers Jason Smith and Phil “Bassman Pep” Peterson for pulling this thing together once again, damn near out of thin air — they’ve worked their asses off to put on one hell of a music festival…

Ah, yeah. Like the title says, this coming weekend marks the return of the Yes Indeed! Music Festival, and holy crap does it look awesome. This year the venue’s shifted somewhat, from the Main Street area…

Moving on into Saturday, February 9th, now, and damn, it’s going to be a busy day. I won’t be able to make any of tomorrow night’s shows, myself, because the wife’s planned some special pre-Valentine’s Day that she’s being very mysterious about…

Wanted to get a mention in relatively early on this one (although not earlier than the {Houston Press} it would seem), because it sounds like it’s going to be damn good…

Yeah, yeah — I realized I’m way, way behind on this one; that’s just how the past month or so’s been, unfortunately. But hey, in case you, like me, are swamped and distracted and whatever else, consider this your wakeup call/reminder…

Of all the festivals and pseudo-festivals floating around lately, this one’s probably at the top of my list; I’d posted about it a while back as the “Downtown Music Festival” one of the guys from Mobley mentioned…

Okay, so I’m not entirely sure I’m getting the name right, but it sounds pretty cool, either way… A few weeks back, while emailing back & forth with Tim Shelburne of Austin band Mobley, Tim mentioned that the band would be back in town…
