FPSF 2014 Lineup, Now Released
BOOM, there we go. After several months of anxious waiting from us out here in the Houston music world, the organizers of the Free Press Summer Festival (FPSF, for short) just released the official lineup for this year’s festival. And yes, it’s looking pretty damn good.
The official headliners are Jack White, Vampire Weekend, Zedd, Lauryn Hill (who I’d honestly thought had fallen off the face of the earth), Above & Beyond, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Dwight Yoakam, Childish Gambino, Deftones(!), and the motherfucking Wu-Tang Clan, but there’re plenty of other things down the list that make me smile, at least, like Chvrches, Drive-By Truckers, The Kills, The 1975 (who I’ve been kicking myself for missing out on when I was in London last fall), Lord Huron, Mariachi El Bronx, and Jana Hunter, plus awesome H-towners like The Tontons, Wild Moccasins, Venomous Maximus, Bagheera, New York City Queens, iLL LiaD, & Another Run.
