Benjamin Wesley Releases New Album, This Weekend & Next

I mentioned a while back that local do-everything musician/one-man-band {Benjamin Wesley} had a new album coming out, and yep, that happy day is upon us. Er, days, really, to be completely accurate.

He’s celebrating the release of his new full-length, Think/Thoughts, starting today (Saturday, March 31st) at 5PM up at Cactus Music. Then he’ll be playing tomorrow, Sunday, April 1st, at Big Star Bar, where he’s opening for {Jandek}, of all things.

And last but not least, he’ll be playing his “real” release show next Saturday, April 6th, up at Fitzgerald’s; he’s got the intriguing-sounding {Khruangbin} and excellent, excellent hip-hop crew {The Niceguys} opening for him, along with {Dave Wrangler} as the DJ.

Keep an eye out for a review of Think/Thoughts soon — I’ve been listening to it quite a bit this past week, and it’s an impressive piece of work.
