Coming Up: Roky Moon & BOLT! Releases Their New Album, This Saturday
Not super-duper-long notice, I know, but it’s worth mentioning either way — this coming Saturday, July 30th, glam-theater-art-rock dudes/dudettes Roky Moon & BOLT! will be at Fitzgerald’s, rocking their hearts out for the album release show for new full-length American Honey, out on ZenHill Records.
The band was kind enough to send a copy of the album our way, and holy shit is it good. Naturally, they’re not doing this thing solo, but are instead dragging along a big bunch of supremely-talented friends, including murkily wonderful Appalachia-pop outfit {listenlisten}, Latin-inflected prog-rockers {Tax the Wolf}, fuzzed-out beach band {Young Girls}, and hard-to-categorize By the End of Tonight spinoff {sIngs}, all of whom are well worth checking out in their own right.
The madness starts at 8PM, and it’s all just a measly $6. I was at their tour kickoff at The Mink a while back, btw, and I have to say, it was one hell of a show. I’m betting Saturday’s even wilder.
[…] it’s actually a tough fight for the Coolest Show Going crown tonight, I’ll admit it. I already posted a little while back about tonight’s Roky Moon & BOLT! album release up at Fitz (which also includes sIngs, […]
