BandCamp: BANDIZE, Sunday [8/15/2009 02:01:00 PM]:

Once again, back is the incredible, er,
BandCamp deal at the
Caroline Collective, this time
focusing somewhat narrowly on an online app called
Bandize, which is a tool for organizing your band's finances, tours, merch, and whatever else.
I'll admit, I've never heard of Bandize before, but it sounds like an interesting idea -- back when I was in a band, organizing shows and selling crap was the absolute worst, most pain-in-the-ass part of the whole mess, so anything to help streamline that would've been damned handy. This "episode" of BandCamp will feature Bandize founder Ajit D'Sa, so I'm guessing he's going to show off the app & field questions.
At any rate, it's at the Collective, of course, this coming Sunday, August 16th, and it'll run from 2-4PM. Caveat time: the BandCamp thing's no longer a free deal, partly because the CC crew was having some issues with folks coming to their events and ripping off stuff. The cover charge for this weekend's BandCamp is $5 a person or $8 a band, though, which is still pretty damn cheap.
