Be Warned: Dead Roses Roams the Houston Streets, Tonight…
[UPDATE: Okay, so I apparently jumped the gun; sadly, the Dead Roses crew had to cancel tonight’s festivities due to weather & Bronwyn being sick. Dang. They’re now pushing it back to after SXSW & the Rodeo are both over…]
Got an email warning that tonight, in honor of the anniversary of the band’s founding, Ralk Armin‘s band Dead Roses will be roving the Montrose and the Heights in their trusty El Camino, amps and guitars and all at the ready, as a Mobile Doom-Punk Attack Unit (including original guitarist Bronwyn, I’m told). They’ll reportedly be stopping off at various bars along the way and playing a few songs at each bar, for as long as they can keep it up.
No idea what bands they’re planning to hit, unfortunately, so you’ll just have to stay vigilant, Houston music-watchers. As band member Kirston put it: “Should be a good time, until we get arrested.” Yep, sounds like it.
