Assholes Stealing People’s Shit Are Killing The Scene (aka Help Black Black Gold Out!)
Okay, this is getting ridiculous. I’ve ranted at length about this before, back when Sharks and Sailors and The Tontons each got ripped off, but it fucking keeps happening. The latest casualty is Black Black Gold, who had their guitars swiped from Francisco’s last weekend (which, of course, means that it was likely somebody who’s in a band themselves who did it, ’cause who the hell else hangs out there?).
Fuck. Can’t y’all morons rip off somebody who’s already successful or something? Isn’t Fall Out Boy coming to town soon? If you stole their gear, I’d consider it a public service. It pisses me off to no end to see somebody get kicked when they’re already pretty much down. If anybody sees these four guitars out and about, get a hold of the Black Black Gold guys asap; help ’em out, people.
In somewhat more humorous — though no less crappy — news, there was yet another recent music-scene burglary, this time of Skyline Network honcho ADR‘s beloved vehicle. The punchline to that one, though? The thieves snagged a bunch of music, but left the local discs. Scumbags and no taste; ahhh, Houston, you never cease to amaze me…
