The Rundown, Pt. 3: Indie + Pizza = Goodness
And behind Door No. 3… There’s a new music resource-type site starting up, called Indiehouston, and they seem pretty promising so far. Not a whole lot up there right now, but they’ve got a Myspace page up already. Of course, like any startup deal, they need a wee bit of help w/the financial end of things.
So, with that being the case, they’re throwing a benefit deal this — yep, you guessed it — Saturday, September 6th over at Late Nite Pie in Midtown (302 Tuam). And they’ve stocked the show with some darn good folks, including Giant Princess, Paris Falls, & The McKenzies. Raw, awesome Whites Stripes-esque rawk, moody retro-tinged pop-rock, and quirky rock, all good, good, good. There’s also headliner(?) Harlem, but I’m afraid I dunno a thing about ’em, sorry… Runs from 6-11 PM, with the music starting at 7PM — oh, and I think it’s free. (The show, not the pizzas.)
Anyway, this sounds like a very cool deal. Seriously: pizza, badass rock bands, & local music Websites…does it get any better?
