Some Super Happy News & Leo Party @ Numbers

Hey, remember Super Happy Fun Land? Yeah, I know — with the quiet of the past few months, my hopes for the place’s eventual re-opening have been sinking lower & lower, sadly. The SHFL crew isn’t giving up the ghost, however; they’re reportedly still working on those pesky city permits for their new-ish digs at 3801 Polk (damn The Man, always fucking shit up…), and in the meantime they’re still throwing the occasional party here & there.

The latest is tomorrow, in fact; the Super Happy Fun Land Annual Leo Party will be up at Numbers tomorrow night starting at 8PM, and will feature such fine folk as Poopy Lungstuffing, The Annoysters, Acoustic ? (aka Muzak John, I believe), A Bubble in the Sun, San Antonio’s Michael Fletcher, Concrete Violin, The Delta Block, Lluvia Dreams (holy crap — didn’t they break up about a decade ago, now?), Anti*Fish, & DJ Tauran Interloper (aka “King of Grief” Jeffrey Thames). Plus cake, balloons, art, free t-shirts for Leos, & lion roaring & costume contests (and no, knowing what I know of these folks, that’s most likely not a joke).

Anyway, that’s the deal. No clue how much it is to get in, but apparently those born under the sign of The Lion get in for zero dollars. I don’t qualify, but hey, you might…
