Something Good for Saturday [11/04/2006 12:42:00 AM]:
Hey, folks -- sorry for the incommunicado-ness, but I just wanted to pop back up to let you know about something going on tomorrow (er, today), Saturday, November 4th, up in Montrose. It's the Westheimer Block Party, sponsored by our good pals at Free Press Houston, and it's bound to be a total blast.

I don't know what the finalized lineup is, but I'm told The Medicine Show, Scattered Pages, Heist at Hand, Los Skarnales, Million Year Dance, The Contingency, Tha Fucking Transmissions, and The Last Starfighter'll be playing somewhere between Helios, Numbers, La Strada, and Mango's, and that's quite a lineup of damn good local bands. Plus, there'll be art stuff, crafts, a comic and zine fest, and a ton of other stuff. And hey, for free, you can't beat it.

The bands start at noon on Saturday and play 'til 9PM (or 'til disgruntled Montrose Mk. II Dwellers like the asshole who's trying to close down Helios call the cops, whichever happens first). You can check out the flyer here for more details: http://www.myspace.com/freepresshouston. Looks like it's gonna be a good day to go party in the street...
